Yes, an old Chinese village in the heart of Mexico, I was as surprised as you to find out the name. I asked the locals the where, how and why of the place but no one knew for sure. I can't even find anything about it on the internet, most likely because it is so small and remote. Located in paradise as far as Mexico is concerned, it is absolutely beautiful; hills, rivers, mountains and lush vegetation making for nice and fat livestock (I should have rode the horses here).

You can see from the photos that the people are definitely of oriental descent and very friendly. If I ever wanted to get away, this would be the place. And right next to the Cascades de Tamul and Tampaon River with class III rapids to keep me busy. Though I didn't stay very long, the memory of its beauty will last forever.
