The Purpose

To gain knowledge one must study, to gain wisdom one must observe.

Everything and everyone has a purpose, a place and a right to live and love. The purpose of this website is to offer a glimpse into the people and places in which I have had the honor and pleasure of observing.

Every glance, every smile, every sunset, every laugh.

Photography has led me to many exciting experiences. From shooting and meeting world renowned music artists performing in front of tens of thousands of fans going crazy with proximity, to sitting next to the most humble of fishermen in Jamaica trying unsuccessfully to convince him that people cut holes in the ice to fish year-round in Wisconsin. They are all equally priceless.

To add even more substance to my ventures, I am going to give back by offering my photography services to charities along the way, local and international. Look in the "Future" to get more information on the charities and locations. If you know of an honorable event or charity in need of photos, please don't hesitate to ask.

“Our lives are to be used and thus to be lived as fully as possible, and truly it seems that we are never so alive as when we concern ourselves with other people.” ~ Harry Chapin

Thanks for visiting ~ Jennifer Okray

    • How great to hear from you, Jennifer! This is a far cry from Summerfest which is was that far back, I guess. I am glad we are back in touch. I particularly liked your Mexico photos. They are fresh and warm and they capture the essence of local people. I also think your envoironmental photos are very strong. You seem to be at home in the wilderness. All the best and be sure to visit soon.
